The California Coastal Commission protects, conserves, restores, and enhances environmental and human-based resources of the California coast and ocean for environmentally sustainable and prudent use by current and future generations.

It does so through careful planning and regulation of environmentally-sustainable development, rigorous use of science, strong public participation, education, and effective intergovernmental coordination.

California Department of Boating and Waterways


The California Department of Boating and Waterways provides safe and convenient public access to California waterways and leadership in promoting safe, enjoyable and environmentally sound recreational boating.

The division brings together a body of knowledge as the state expert in recreational boating-related matters, including public access, safety and education, marine law enforcement, and consumer and environmental protection.

California Association of Harbor Masters and Port Captains


The California Association of Harbor Masters and Port Captains mission is to exchange information relative to construction, maintenance, operation, regulation, enforcement, administration and management, pertaining to boats, marinas and harbors.

The Association also formulates policies and plans to standardize and establish uniformity in operation and management of marinas and harbor facilities.

The group encourages the development of marinas and harbors along sound management, environmental and economic lines, and to assist wherever and whenever possible, any group or individual, whether private or governmental, in the development of new marinas and/or harbors.

Marine Recreation Association


The Marine Recreation Association is a non-profit association that represents marina owners, operators and industry professionals throughout the Western U.S., Mexico, Hawaii and Australia. The Association mission is to provide a united voice in representing the interests of the boating and marina industries and to help educate and inform in all areas of recreational boating.

The Association holds an annual Conference and Exhibition that features seminars and presentations covering key marine industry management, operations, and marketing concerns, focused on enhancing customer satisfaction, improving guest services and operations, and optimizing regulatory compliance and fiscal results.

The Trade Show features leading industry vendors and contractors exhibiting a broad range of the latest technology, products, and services.

Boat U.S.


The Boat Owners Association of The United States provides service, savings, and representation to millions of boat owners. the nation's largest organization of recreational boat owners, with over half a million dues-paying Members.

The Association provides a diverse offering of marine services for the recreational boater, including insuring over 8 billion dollars worth of boats, operating the largest on the water towing fleet -TowBoatUS, representing boater interests on Capitol Hill, providing financing for boat-buyers, creating quality boat graphics and lettering, publishing the most widely circulated boating publication - BoatUS Magazine, acting as a mediator through the California Consumer Protection Bureau and more.
